Overall, this is a wonderful kite! My son and his friends love it and it is big! However, the string sucks. It was fine in low wind, but in wind over a nice breeze, the kite flew away! I retrieved it thankfully, and went right back and ordered the 30# x 500 string. This string has a clasp so I am more confident it will work out fine, but have not had a chance to test this. DO NOT USE THE KITE IN WINDY DAYS IF YOU WANT THE KITE BACK UNLESS YOU BUY DIFFERENT STRING!

I loved this kite so much the first time, I bought it again after my dog ripped up the first one. I was so disappointed when I got the second one because while the design remained the same, the quality and material of the kite was completely different!! I felt misled. The first one was way more durable with nice, bright colors. The portion holding the rod in was also more durable, as was the string. The second one was just inferior in every way. It also didn't fly as well and kept diving into the ground.I just wish I could know which kite I was getting, because I really loved the first one!

The product seems durable and assembly is instant. I was in the fabric business and the "rip stop" nylon is of great strength,so durability is not a question. Now here is the problem, the weather. Little wind super hot,and taking our 5 year old out to kite fly will have to wait. Will review when conditions improve. Sorry

Pretty kite, but broke after 2 uses. The main rod that supports the kite from nose to tail punctured through the fabric at the tail end. I put some duct tape around the bottom and it is holding for now, but for how much this kite costs, they should reinforce stress points on it. I'm glad I did blow an extra $10 for that spool of thread every says to get cause I doubt this kite will last a few more flights.

My 9 yr. old daughter loves this kite, and it just happened to arrive on a perfect day for flying a kite, so she took it right out. Took me about a minute to get her going, you just put this 1 piece on the back, and the rope is already tied for you, just slip it in the slot on the front and you're good to go. She was out there for quite a while, and was so excited to see how good the kite looked, she didn't expect it to be so big. And it's made of nylon, colors are just like in the photo. Looks great way WAY up in the sky! It says to go up to 75 feet (I didn't actually measure that LOL!) but it was way up there, and we had some nice wind. It's very easy for a child to fly and she just loves it! Now my son (11) wants one..

Not too filmsy and it will fly with no (major) problem in strong wind but the handle is very brittle and will break. The edge of the fabric will start to tear after a while because they aren't seamed.

I really like this kite. I am not mechanically inclined and it was very easy to assemble (extremely easy) plus it's a good size... not too big or small (about the length/height of your average 3 yr old from top to tale). It's also very cute. I bought this for myself as a birthday present as I used to fly a lot of kites when I was a kid and found this one easy to use. Though it is pricey (IMO) compared to many kites you find in stores like Target or local drug stores, I suppose you're paying for ease of use/assembly and it is definitely cuter than what you may find in your neighborhood unless you shop at a specialty store.The Easy Flyer kite is relatively sturdy and worth getting if you'll take care of it and use it. Too pricey to give to destructive children (lol) or just toss in your garage!

The kite itself is very nice. However, it arrived with splotches of mold and smelling rather unpleasant. I had to spray this down with Lysol and give it a solid scrub before letting the kids use it. Also, the provided string is quite flimsy. I'd recommend upgrading to a stronger reel.
