ZinsserAllcoat Exterior WB (Satin Finish) Ready Mixed Colours 2.5 Litre Anthracite Grey (Ral 7016)

Is this paint too good to be true? It is water-based so very easy to clean brushes or spills. It goes on so easily and doesn't smear or run (unless you try really hard!), it doesn't need an undercoat and covers very well and it claims it can last for over a decade. Is there a down side? Not that I can find, other than the purchase cost. However, if it does last even half the time it claims, it is still good value for money and I'll have extra years before repainting. I won't buy any other brand for my woodwork now I've discovered this.

This paint looks fantastic on our shed and summerhouse. The colour is exactly as I wanted it and the finish is lovely. Easy to apply. The best exterior paint we’ve ever had!

I don’t normally write reviews, but for this amazing tin of paint I thought I must. My first thoughts were, dam this tin is expensive, but I tell you it’s worth every penny. I built a garden house with white PVC paneling, painted with 2 coats. Refurbished my staircase, painted with 2 coats. My skirting, 2 coats and still got plenty left in the tin. This paint also feels like an oil based paint even though its water based (brushes clean with ease, my friend). Every stroke of the brush was enjoyable and dries so quickly that you can enjoy the moment again.

Wonderful. Got others colours from company. Take your time for best result. I don’t normally recommend but this was so good. Result were so good.

Absolutely transformed old brown Upvc windows. A lite sanding then two coats. With Amazing results 😊

Painted new white fascia to match anthracite windows, two coats applied with roller covered well without any surface prep, after a couple of days created a reasonably hard shell which is fine for pvc trims etc. paint is pricey but works out a bargain in comparison to the increased price for anthracite foil covered fascia and soffit boards…

Based on the reviews I bought this paint for our exterior decoration project & so glad I did!It was used on clay tiles, wood, metal & UPVc all to brilliant effectOur decorators said it was probably the best paint they had used, was easy to apply & went a long way with a great finish. We have had so many different surfaces painted with this & have still not finished one 2.5 litre tin! More importantly it’s completely revived an old (previously green) metal shed & a metal garage door that was in such a bad condition that we thought it would need replacing completely.Double whammy … saved money not having to buy replacements & saved the planet from more unnecessary landfillAt first glance you may think (as others have commented) that it’s on the expensive side BUT when you factor in that fewer coats are required that saves in both paint & labour costs, maybe not so much?Honestly cannot recommend highly enough!

Perfect colour match against my new composite front door. I have vertical wooden cladding around the door which was painted brown many moons ago and went with my old white door. This is a fantastic paint that does exactly as it says on the tin. Great consistency and cover capacity that dries within the hour. Expensive yes, but the best paint I've ever used.
