Plant Therapy Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil 100% Pure, Undiluted, Natural Aromatherapy, Therapeutic Grade 10 mL (1/3 oz)

I am learning about essential oils so when I read about the benefits of Ylang Ylang, how it is one of the 'adaptogen' EO's that, "is especially effective when dealing with anger-induced stress and can bring a feeling of immediate calm and peace" I first googled how to pronounce it (ee-lang ee-lang) and then placed my order though Amazon. Upon arrival I tore through the packaging to finally reach the screw cap and since then I have been using and applying every way you can.Two things stand out to me about Ylang Ylang:a.) The Scent: Although some EO's have great reviews for their scent I sometimes find I have to negotiate with my senses to agree when it comes to the more 'woodsy' EO's. I'm finding I'm not a fan but I'm not passing them up since the point is the benefits. So, to me, the Ylang Ylang is marvelous in every single way.b.) The Benefits: They weren't kidding! I could go into a long, drawn-out thing here but let me just put it bluntly: A couple of drops of Ylang Ylang in the palm of my hand, cup my hand to my nose and breathe deep, slow, calm breaths keeps me from putting my narcissistic, sociopathic, future POS ex through a wall. At night, I pour it into a diffuser and then strategically position it on my bedside so that the vapors dance straight up my nose like a cartoon character floating toward the hypnotic scents of a fresh baked pie in a windowsill. By doing this, I find it helps me overcome the urge to tip-toe up to my sleeping narcissistic, sociopathic, future POS ex's bedside to put a pillow over his face.Basically, people, this stuff is the bomb!"This too shall pass" - yeah, like a kidney stone but it's true, those tough days do pass. I often combine Ylang Ylang with Lavender, Clary Sage and sometimes Sweet Orange or Rose oil. When I do, especially if I have the house to myself, my mind is calm, life is good; it helps me to not dwell on how much it isn't right now. Meanwhile, I still have my good sense (careful not to become a monster when fighting one), some lovely new scents and next, I'll need a lawyer with experience in sitting across the table from The Dark Triad.

Update: So I did some more research. There are two types of Ylang Ylang. If you are looking for a smell that is more floral, go with Ylang Ylang extra instead of complete. Also, you need to heavily dilute Ylang Ylang in carrier oil (at 1-3% concentration). Wait 1 week after dilution. The bitter smell will subside, and the pleasant aspects of the oil will shine.

The scent is a bit different/not bad, just different from ylang ylang I've smelled before:Heavier and more herbacious.

This Ylang Ylang is the first Plan Therapy oil that I have purchased so I was not sure what to expect. I have used essential oils in my home for over a decade and always test any before using it. I tested this oil, and it passed the paper test. Plant Therapy Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil. 100% Pure, Undiluted, Therapeutic Grade. 10 ml (1/3 oz). It floats on water, just as it should, and smells just as Ylang Ylang should. It has a very strong and sweet floral scent. Ylang Ylang is one of those oils where a little goes a long way. It doesn't take much to fill the room nicely. This particular oil diffuses well, and I also use it in my tea light oil warmer.✔️ MY OBSERVATIONS:✿ Floats On Water - Ylang Ylang is an oil that should float on water.✿ Passed The Paper Test For Purity - Ylang Ylang is a denser oil, it took a bit over 24 hours for this oil to completely dissipate when tested on card-stock.✿ Has The Correct Ylang Ylang Scent - Strong, Floral, and sweet. For Me, I Find There Is A Richness To it's Scent.✿ Has The Slight Yellow Coloring That It Should.✿ Is The Correct Density - Ylang Ylang is a slightly heavier oil in density.✿ Came With Seal Around Neck In Tact and Unbroken.✿ Came Labeled - Thrilled It Came Labeled for me With A Round Label Already On the Cap!🌐 OVERALL: Really pleased with this Ylang Ylang oil, and happy to have found it here on Amazon. I will continue to order and these oils in the future.If my experience with this oil changes in the future, I will certainly update this. I'm leaving 5 star reviews on all my PlantTherapy products. I've bought many different Amazon brands, I've bought from Scentsy and doTerra, and similar large businesses and nothing comes close to the value of Plant Therapy. These are pure undiluted essential oils JUST like doTerra but for a fraction of the price.Each batch is tested for Quality and Purity, similar to doTerra products, and the results of each test is displayed on their website. The standard is to do third-party lab tests to protect the integrity of the results, and this is what PT does. I feel much safer knowing that I'm inhaling real essential oils.Highly, highly recommend this company!!! Whether you buy from Amazon or from their site, the quality is consistent. I just buy from Amazon to use my prime benefits and for peace of mind.

I can’t give an honest review for this EO because I ordered the Ylang Ylang and instead received the Himalayan Cedarwood. The label on the packaging that the bottle came in says “Plant Therapy Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil” but the label on the bottle itself is (and definitely smells like) cedarwood.I’m currently using it in my cold-air diffuser and it smells nice enough (which is why I’m giving it 3 stars), but it isn’t what I ordered at all. Such a shame since I’ve been wanting to try Ylang Ylang for a while...
