ZippoButane Lighter Insert -2" L x 1.4" W x 0.5" Th- Yellow Flame

From the get-go, I advise whoever purchases this Butane Lighter Insert to use the correct-sized plunger with it. I used an everyday butane can I purchased from Amazon, but I didn't notice, or realise just how thin the inlet pin is at the bottom of the lighter for refilling it. The usual-sized butane cans for Bic lighters and other refillable lighters are usually all the same size, right? Well, not the Zippo Butane Lighter Insert their not.The Zippo Butane Lighter Insert has a very small pin to it, and IF you use the larger adapters found on cheaper butane cans, you WILL push this small pin all the way in, and you'll end up having all of the gas you've just put into it come right out in a gaseous cloud. (And because you've used the wrong filler size, and you've forced the refilling pin in, this issue will be nobody else' fault but your own).Zippo sell butane refill cans themselves. And they may cost a dollar or two more to purchase. But as they're the correct size for the small pin they have zero issues filling the insert back up.Quick tip when filling your insert: Shake the butane can and lighter for a couple of seconds, attach the nozzle to the filling pin, and gently press them together for 3-5 seconds. Shake both the can and the insert together for a couple of shakes, to help get the gas around the the insides, and repeat. You'll feel both the insert and the butane can get slightly cold and this will tell you that gas if flowing from the can into the insert. Do so for 4 or 5 times, and you're good to go with a refilled lighter insert.Also, double-check the measurements given in the description to ensure it'll fit your Zippo case. If you're unsure, contact Zippo directly by their website, they will ask you some basic descriptive details for your Zippo case, and they'll instantly know if this insert will fir your case, or they'll recommend another size insert they sell that will work for your needs.Hope this review helps

Works great so far after a few months. Changed flint once and refilled a few times with plain ol Ronson and it lights everytime with a good flame length. Next best thing to a Bic. I always use and carry both. Easily recommend it over original lighter fluid insert.

I’m really liking what Zippo is doing with their inserts! This insert seems to work really well and fits my Zippo lighter perfectly. The only thing I wish it had and doesn’t is a way to adjust the flame. Other than that, works well!

There's no easier way to turn your classic case zippo into butane lighter than this. Slip it in the case, throw the old one in a drawer somewhere, and never again experience kerosene burns from the leaky lighter in your pocket.The downside is that as a butane rig you have to hold the trigger down, and since it's designed like a regular zippo it has the small thin flint wheel; not as easy as flicking it open and remaining lit like the old school internals. But way cleaner.

Fits perfectly in the classic Zippo case. Much better than having to refill the evaporated lighting fluid in a standard zippo every few days, and lets you have the classic zippo with soft yellow flame. Kind of a bummer that you can’t adjust the flame, and the flame is a little long, but hey, you know what they say about a man with a large Zippo flame! 😂

A good replacement for the liquid burning insert but it is not windproof. I feel like they could’ve made it windproof
