Works well and gets hot fast
I love sweet and savory crepes. This gadgets makes it easy and fast to cook several crepes one after the next. The heat is adjustable which is nice is you like them crispy or soft. It’s comes with all the necessary tools. It is so easy to make the batter I use very water downed pancake mix. It’s easy to wipe with a soapy rag and wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Does the job really well once you've mastered the spreading technique.
Bought this as a gift for wife as she wanted to get back into crepe' making. Opted for free-standing dedicated electric appliance over stove-top pan as I thought temp control would be easier to correctly set.Four stars for "Easy to Use" because the key to great crepes (other than temp control), is correct batter consistency and spreading technique. Both of which require some practice to master and are outside the appliance's control. So, be ready for some less-than-perfect test batches if you're a newbie.Only downsides are requires more space to store than just a pan, and the paddle and spreader are rather cheaply made.

Works well
It works well as a crepe maker and doesn’t seem to have a hot spot like my last one did.

Worth it
The Chefman Electric Crepe Maker heats up quickly and maintains a consistent temperature across the entire cooking surface. The ability to control the temperature makes it easier to perfect the texture of your crepes, whether you prefer them thin and delicate or thicker and fluffier. The non-stick surface ensures that crepes slide off easily when they’re done, and the included spatula helps you flip them with minimal effort. The wooden spreader also works well for evenly distributing the batter and achieving uniform thickness.

i bought this crepe maker for a date night. it was fun making the crepes. they didnt turn out absolutely perfect, but made for a fun date night.i have a large family sized griddle that i have since packed away. i like the size of this crepe maker and use it for all my griddle needs, including grilled cheese and patty melt sandwiches.i like that this griddle is LEVEL. i hate the slopes on the family griddles.

No included recipes, just a manual that is pretty useless.
What did I like about the Chefman RJ33-c Crepe Maker? It doesn't weigh much, just a touch over 3.3 pounds. It also took under three minutes to go from room temp to three hundred fifty degrees, or from just plugged in to the ready light coming on.That ain't bad a'tall! And it came with some wooden sticks. What I didn't like.Pretty useless manual. How big a book do you need to plug it in and wait for the green light to come on?Chefman had enough room in that manual to include a lot of recipes. You know how many recipes were included? ALMOST ONE. Why would any company that makes a specialty cooking appliance not include recipes to showcase just how great this product is? To drive traffic to their website, Club Chefman. And THEN they make it a pain in the butt to join! Sometimes, companies just ain't got the sense of a cinder block. The one I have has a slightly warped base. It wobbles and that gets on my nerves, not enough to return it, but it is irritating. Can I recommend the Chefman RJ33-c?You learn to use an appliance by recipes. You make the recipe, you screw it up and then you correct it.Thats called "LEARNING".Because of the utter lack of recipes, this crepe maker will have a fairly steep learning curve. So if you are the impatient sort, you might want to look elsewhere. But, if you are like me (punishment glutton!), you may want to give this a try.Either way, you're just risking some pretty thin batter and just how bad can that be?Just sayin'PeteUPDATE...It is on it's way back to Amazon.I tried to like this, but it fought hard to get on my nerves and it succeeded.I can put up with a lot, but a crepe maker that will not stay hot enough to darken the the crepe batter is a dog that just won't hunt.I have reduced the stars to one star. You can stick a fork in my butt cause I'm done.
